About Us
OUR HISTORY
The history about John Scott’s starts at the end of the 17th century in an area of Gothenburg, an area called Wohlfagrts Ängar.
The buildings in this area were built according to the English style and in addition the land owner Jacobina Scott, born in Barclay, was married to an English man, Reverend John Henry Scott. Therefore, the area was soon renamed the English Quarter. In 1867, the city bought the land from the Scott family.
Since then, the area and its propeties have been gradually modernized, but the distinctive English interior design attributes live on in today’s John Scott’s. Named after the original plot owners.
